Prayer in Major Faiths
|Due to Covid restrictions we have
had to cancel this series of talks this year.
The Ignatian Spirituality Centre in partnership with the Scottish Roman Catholic Bishops’ Committee for Inter-religious Dialogue offer three afternoons on prayer (14:30 - 17:00)
Each afternoon will focus on one major world faith.
For the academic year beginning 2021 we shall look at prayer in the Jewish, Buddhist and Islamic traditions.
We shall consider how each tradition sees prayer and the different ways of praying in that tradition.
There will be an opportunity to consider what is important to each of these three major faiths.
Participants will also be able to find out the significance of a Jewish prayer shawl, Buddha Statues, Muslim positions of prayer.
Where appropriate participants will be invited to participate in prayer.
