A Walking Pilgrimage - 2019
This is a pilgrimage; participants will need to be able to walk without
strain at a reasonable walking speed on paved streets. We walk up
to couple of miles or so at a time. We also travel by trains and buses so the
ability to negotiate steps is also necessary.
What to Bring
A sunhat and sunscreen lotion
A pair of comfortable walking shoes
What is Included
Costs for 2019
As an add-on to the 30-day retreat the cost is €560 (£545) - assumes a single room rate
Once bookings start to fill up & if there were only twin rooms available at the hotels then there would be a further supplement required for single people in a twin room @ €15 extra per night. So early booking is recommended!!

Travel for 2019Our Pilgrimage starts in Loyola on the 27th of July. Based on the 2018 Flight schedule we suggest the following (however this is subject to review)
We suggest flying to Bilbao. We offer one direct transfer bus from Bilbao to Loyola which is scheduled to pick up from the British Airways flight from London to Bilbao which is due to arrive at 18.50.
Aer Lingus from Dublin arrives 16.30
Easyjet from London Stansted at 9.30am.
(In previous years people on early flights have enjoyed a day in the city of Bilbao on the frequent shuttle bus and returned to the airport in time to be collected on the direct transfer to Loyola. This could save a lot of money as Easyjet is currently much cheaper than BA.)
On our return we leave Montserrat at 9am and hope to arrive in
Barcelona Airport at 10.30am.
*The pilgrimage costs are paid in Euro. Current costs are based
on £1=€1.08 (Royal Bank of Scotland Exchange Rate).
We require full payment of all fees 6 weeks before the Pilgrimage
If you are sending payments to us from overseas we recommend Transferwise:
